about james sanderson
My name is James Sanderson. I began preaching God’s Word when I was 15 years old. After falling away from the Lord for 14 years, I returned to the Lord and in 1998 decided to go to Sunset School of Preaching in Lubbock, Texas where I received my preaching degree. While at school I became the associate minister for the Northside church of Christ in Lubbock. After graduation I preached full-time for both the Beulah church of Christ and the Center Road church of Christ in Michigan for the next 15 years. During that time I wrote a workbook on evangelism (Saving Souls In The 21st Century) and have held close to 100 evangelism workshops all over the world (7 States & 4 Countries). Since then, my workbook has been translated in nine different languages. Because of my love for reaching the lost, in 2015 I began working for the Southern Oaks church of Christ in Chickasha, Oklahoma and presently for the Baker Heights church of Christ in Abilene, Texas as a full-time evangelist. I also partner with Home Missions, the Herold of Truth as one of their evangelist. I have appeared on T.V. programs, talk shows and in videos trying to reach the lost, all to God’s glory!
In addition to this training and experience, I believe what best qualifies me to write this workbook on saving souls is the time spent with everyday people. Whether sitting down with my family, having discussions within local businesses, talking with people on the street corners and in the local jail or holding studies with almost every denominational preacher in the areas that I have lived, I believe these valuable experiences help me better understand where people are and make me familiar with what people are asking today about God and His word.
I am married to my best friend and partner in the faith, Amanda, and have 1 son (Zach) and 4 daughters (Jessica Kimberly, Jill, Jessica LeAnne and Emily), two wonderful son-laws (Philip and Brian) and have four amazing grandchildren (Roxy, Riley, Clara and Myra).
